Ginger Bread House

Christian was begging me to make a ginger bread house.  I talked to Chris and he thought we should make  him one.  He was so excited and decided to name his ginger bread house, it's name is ginger.   I don't know why but he is totally loving the name Ginger lately. Tonight, he said, "If I ever have a brother, we need to name him Ginger."

Christian came up with his design and couldn't wait to eat it.  He kept saying,"Can I eat it now!"

Christian said, "Shhh!! I'm a librarian!"

Festival of Nativities

Every year our Stake does a festival of Nativities.  They display nativities from all around the world.  Here are some nativities sets that we saw.

At the Festival of Nativities, they also had two rooms set a side so children could dress up as Mary, Joseph, wisemen, and shepherds.  They also had nativities that the children can pick up and play with.  There was also a table with play dough and Christmas themed cookie cutters for the kids to make shapes with.

Here is our cute wiseman.

Halloween 2013

I made Christian a pumpkin and a witch's hat sandwich for his lunch.

After school, I took Christian to a local indoor play gym.  They had a special that if you wore your halloween costume, it was half off.  I had Christian wear his Halloween costume that he wore last year, to the indoor play gym.

He turned into his Sonic costume when we were ready to go to the ward trunk or treat.

Ben 10 practicing his moves on Sonic!  Christian was lucky to have his friend come with us to the Trunk or Treat.

October's Happenings!

Christian trying on his new sonic hat.  I think he looks pretty cute.  I have to say, I love when Christian wears this hat because he does his jobs super fast.  Sonic never gets tired so his jobs get done faster.

Halloween Family Home Evening

We started our night by carving our pumpkin that our nice neighbor gave us.  Christian designed it and I tried to cut it to be similar to his drawing.

Christian coloring with his new markers that the pumpkin fairy gave him.

Christian trying to make me look like Dr. Seuss.  I don't think Dr. Seuss wore glasses this crazy.

Kindergarten Field Trip

Christian's class went to a farm for a class field trip.  They got to go through a maze made of bales of hay.

They got to feed the animals.

They got to climb a pyramid, made of bales of hay.

Canadian Thanksgiving 2013

Christian started the day by being all tied up in the vacuum cords.
It was great entertainment while I was preparing all the food for Canadian Thanksgiving.

Christian's favorite part of Canadian Thanksgiving was playing with his friends.

 Some of the decorations

We had turkey, mashed potatoes, chips, and a  vegetable tray.  We also had cherry and pumpkin pie.  Then we had the traditional Thanksgiving snooze!

First Day of Kindergarten

Like it or not, my little boy is now in Kindergarten.   It was a little rocky morning but overall I think he had a great first day at school. Christian has had a little bit of a hard time adjusting to going to school.  He had to change classes after the second day of school.   Here in the Evergreen school district they have all day Kindergarten.  I think Christian would like school a little more if it wasn't all day long.

Chris's family reunion

At the end of July we went to spend some time with Chris's side of the family.  It has been several years that we have all been together.  We had a great time hiking, cliff jumping, slip and slid, and playing games with one another.

One of the days, we went fishing with Chris's dad.  Here is a picture of Christian catching his first fish.

We went on a short hike to Cascade Falls

Kanarraville Falls

Gene was a great sport and came on a hike with us.

Christian really enjoyed hiking with Ruben.

This is my favorite picture of them.

I decided that this my favorite hike of all times!
