This video is one Heather took of me holding Christian the first night we got to see him. I suppose it is little moments like these that make everything worth it. We just found out tonight that there are further complications in the legal process in bringing Christian home. Apparently because the birthmother is a resident of Georgia, now completing interstate compact with Georgia as well as Alabama and Utah becomes necessary. Georgia's law recently changed January 1, 2008, in this regard. One might think because Christian was born in Alabama appeasing Georgia's law would seem unreasonable and unnecessary,(which is what I though when I caught wind of this whole ordeal)however, the law changed as a protection from certain unethical practices found with some adoption agencies in their state. This is a comforting after thought, but certainly doesn't help our plight much. Thanks everyone for your prayers.......
