Tag, You're It!

We came up with a new game called Monster Tag.  People hide and the person who is it goes and find them and throws a ball at them.

Oh the crazy places, we will choose to hide!

Hiding in the closet with the blanket covering us!

They are in their stance!  Who will get hit?

Mount Hood Lakes

On Labor Day, we took a trip to Frog Lake and Trillium Lake

Frog Lake doesn't look like much, but boy did we have fun once we found the frogs!

Be Soft! This kid knows how to get dirty and likes it!

The action unfolds!

I enjoyed the hike around Trillium Lake. Christian and Heather couldn't wait for it to end.

I have never seen trees like this before.

Astoria and Fort Stevens

My parents came the first part of June. We took them to visit Astoria and also Fort Stevens.

Grandpa giving Christian one of his famous bear hugs!

The first thing we did was to take the trolley to see all the historical sites of Astoria

Astoria Bridge - It is the longest continuous truss bridge in North America.

We stopped and visited Fort Stevens. When I told Christian that we were going to visit Fort Stevens, Christian thought we were going to visit his uncles house. It took me a while, to register why he kept saying uncle Steven.

Bridal Veil Falls and Cape Disappointment

Chris' sister and her children came to visit us. Christian loved having his cousins here. We took them to visit the Waterfalls.

Bridal Veil Falls

Cape Disappointment - no Disappointment here! The only disappointment that we had was that we were unable to go to the top of the Lighthouse due to us wearing our flip flops! I wished I knew that it was against coast guard rules.

Fun cousin time at the beach. The only thing that would make the trip better was if Chris could have come with us. He was greatly missed!

One of my Heroes!

May 28, 1991- April 8, 2012

This has been a hard couple of months. Just has I thought I couldn't handle anything else, I got news from my parents, that my brother pasted away. I was shocked. I never dreamed that he would die so early. He was amazing spiritual giant. Greg knew the scriptures far better than me. He was constantly helping others with their trials, while struggling through his life trial of Bipolar.

I will never be able to play a game with out thinking of my brother. He truly loved my son. From the moment he heard about Christian, he was so attentive of him. I always appreciated this because I felt Christian needed extra love.

I am so grateful for the Savior Jesus Christ who died for us and was resurrected so that we can return to our Heavenly Father. Because of Jesus Christ, I will have the opportunity to be with my brother again.

Thanks Greg for all that you did for me. I am so happy that I got to be with you for almost 21 years but selfishly wished it was more. I am happy that he has so many love ones to meet him when he pasted away!

Better Late Than Never

I know, I am really behind. Christian turned 4 on December 28th. I want to post pictures of Christian's birthday. I can't believe that he is 4. Where does the time go? It seems like yesterday that we were meeting him for the first time. I am so HAPPY he is in our family. We love how active, funny, caring, and a great example he is to us.

I want to say a special thanks to Christian's Aunt Lori. She made Christian's birthday special. I and Chris were very sick with the flu on his birthday.

The birthday boy. The big 4!

Christian and his cousin's birthday are one day a part. They like to celebrate their birthday's together.

Christian's Funnies this past year

Christian is a really funny boy and says the most funniest things. I wanted to share them.
Chris: Christian what do you want to do when you grow up? Christian: I want to play basketball and soccer. Me: Who do you want to play like? Christian: Lebron James.
Our car was having a hard time staying started today. Christian said, "I know the problem, the car needs new tires."
Christian: Mom, I'm a little happy now.
Me: why are you a little happy?

Christian: Because somebody is checking to see if I am naughty or nice.

Me: Who is checking to see if you are being naughty or nice.

Christian: Jesus and Santa.
Christian: Mom, what are you?
Me: a girl

Christian: no, you are not.

Me: Yes, I am.

Christian: no, you are an Angel.
We had our adoption classes today. When we went to pick of Christian from the babysitters, he said, "Mom, did you get me a sister."
Christian's song went like this today: Follow the Prophet, lets get along.
Christian: Jesus helps us
Me: How does Jesus help us?

Christian: He saves our lives.
Me: Christian, I have a song stuck in my head.
Christian: Where? Is it in your hair?
Christian: "Mom, I need to say a prayer so that my hiccups will go away." A hour later Christian says, "Mom, my hiccups went away."
Christian has a new pretend friends Molly, Catalina the snake, and Deona the pig. They live in a nice house which is a apple.
Christian: I got work to do!
Me: What kind of work do you have to do?

Christian: Nintendo work
me: Christian you are so cute
Christian: I'm not cute. I'm dangerous!
Christian said the prayer today. This is what he said, " Please bless that mommy will have more patience with me."
We were driving home from Astoria and Christian started to get sad. I asked him what was wrong and he said, "mom my goldfish cracker only has one eye." "That would be sad, sad to only have one eye."
Chris: Christian get your tail over here
Christian: Dad, I don't have a tail. I have a bum!

Me: Who has a tail

Christian: Rabbits
Christian: Ice Cream makes me white.
Christian: Mom, Jonah is here.
Me: What's he doing?

Christian: He is talking to me.

Me: what is he saying to you?

Christian: He wants me to go to Nineveh with him.
Christian: Mom, I'm hungry!
Me: What do you want to eat?

Christian: Angry Birds
