Can you believe it? Christian turned 3

Christian turned 3 on Tuesday ( December 28). I can't believe that he is 3 years old. We feels so happy that we are his parents.

Christian got his first package of gum. That was his favorite birthday gift. He kept asking Chris and me if we wanted a piece of gum. He did a great job sharing his gum. Only one piece of gum was left at the end of the day.
Christian loves Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Gator Golf

We thought he would totally love having a scooter but he hasn't wanted to play with it much. I hope someday, he will want to ride it.

Christmas 2010

We went to Chris' parent's house this year for Christmas. We had a great time spending time with siblings, cousins, and Grandpa and Grandma. It was great to see all the little kids get along and play so cute together.
Christian was so excited about his Thomas the Train PJ, that he had to put them on as soon as he opened them.
Christian got Thomas the Train set and has not stopped playing with it ever since. That also means that I haven't stopped playing either because he needs someone to play trains with him.

Christian was excited to get another puzzle

Christian was lucky and got a sword that Santa's elves made for him. He had fun trying to fight Jared's boys. Christian informed me that Santa's elves didn't make it for him, the kids gave it to him.

Happy Halloween

We had a hard time trying to come up with a costume this year. When I saw my nephew's cute monkey costume, I decided that Christian should be a monkey as well. The last couple of years, I wanted Christian to be a monkey but I didn't like any of the monkey costumes. Old Navy saved me this year because this costume was cute and cheap.

Christian was so excited about Halloween. He heard that we were going to go Trick or Treating he want to go right then. He seemed like a pro this year. I think it was because my parents did a Halloween party which included Trick or Treating.

The cutest little monkey, I have ever seen!

I love this monkey!

Good Times Visiting Family!

We were going to take our first family trip. While we were visiting family, Chris' Grandma ended up having a stroke. We canceled our family trip and spent hours of time with family both good and sad. We sure are going to miss Chris' Grandma. She was a great Lady!

Christian and Ruben had great time driving and riding in Grave digger truck.

We loved it how Christian would put his arm out of the car like a little man.

Christian wasn't the only one who had to try out the grave digger.

Christian riding on Ruben's scooter

Christian and Ruben had so much fun playing together. They were pretty much always together except during Christian's nap time.

First time Chris family got together for about 12 years.

Christian's flips

Christian started doing these tricks that he calls his flips. He is such a funny bug.

Potty Training Time

I felt like it was time to try to potty train Christian but I didn't know where to begin. I read online to find his favorite stuff animal and have it be part of the potty training process. It is working with him wanting to use the potty. We are still working on the part of knowing when he needs to go. Hopeful that will come soon.

Christian's cute sayings

Christian has been saying some funny things lately. Chris thought it would be good to post on our blog.

Christian: I like football like my dad.
Heather: Are you going to play football when dad gets home?
Christian: No, wrestle him

Chris: Where's your brother Christian?
Christian: Over there.
Chris: When's your brother coming to visit us?
Christian: He needs to play hoops with us.

Christian: There's 2 kids
Heather: You and who else
Christian: Dad

Heather: Christian your frog is saying thank you for cleaning out his tank. It helps the frog to breath better.
Christian: and I am saying your welcome.

Cute Christian

Christian always sings "Taco Taco man, I want to be a taco man." Christian's uncle
Steven decide to wrap Christian up like a taco. Christian wanted him to do so but I think he changed his mind once he was all wrapped up.

Have a few fries with your ketchup.

Christian just dunked it!

We had to get these cute dancing moves. I love how he is also trying to sing the song.

Look What Christian Can Do

Chris want to go fishing for Family Home Evening on Monday. While Chris was fishing, Christian and I found this fun slide. I never when down this slide but it sure was fun watching Christian. He liked it so much, he didn't even want to feed the ducks again.

Christian kept making these shots and we had to get it on video. Of course, once we started filming him, he didn't make them as much.

Chris was show Christian how to do a kick out pass. Christian didn't think that is how it should be done. This is how he thought a kick out pass should be done. What cleaver thinking this boy has!

Three weeks ago, we went to visit Chris' parents. Chris' brother also came to visit and gave Christian a big wheel. Christian wasn't very teachable and was very determined to ride his bike Fred Flintstone style. Well yesterday, he started really trying to pedal. Today, all day he was trying but it was really hard to do it on our carpet. I decided to take him outside to see if he could really pedal. He does really well down hill but struggles more going up hill. It's so fun to watch him grow up but sad at the same time. I sure love this boy of mine.

Fun Times with Cousin Juliet and Aunt Melanie

Christian and I invited Melanie and Juliet to come and feed the ducks. Christian and Juliet are best of buddies and have fun everytime they are together.

Juliet was getting really hot and we decided to try to cooler off by getting her face and hair wet. That turn into wanting to put her feet in,to wanting to stand, to wanting to walk. Christian was really scared to get in because he saw all the gross things in the water. We finally got him to stand in the water.

Christian wanted to sit in the water but didn't dare do it where it was really dirty. Once I set him here he didn't want to leave. I think Juliet felt the same way.

While Juliet was picking flower, Christian was picking up rocks and throwing them. The difference between boys and girls.

Christian showing Melanie his stick

Christian wanted to share one of his stick with Juliet. Juliet decided she want to taste it. I think she liked it because she chewed on that stick for awhile.

Thanks Melanie and Juliet for the great day of fun and adventures!

Ducks

We took Christian to feed the ducks tonight. We went about a month a go and ever since he has wanted to go back again. I was really surprised because the ducks really scared me. The reason they scared me because they got so close it look like they were going to peak Christian.

Christian and the seagulls. We liked feeding them because they didn't get too close. I was also cool to watch them catch the bread in the air.

Today I was cleaning up my kitchen and all of the sudden I heard Christian say, "Look Mom, train". I thought it was so cute because he has never done something like this before.

What Christian likes to do daily

These videos do work. I don't know why the picture won't show up but once you push play, it will play the video.

Christian doesn't do this daily but I sure thought it was cute how he was dancing with his spaghetti.

Christian just loves to play in the water. He sneaks into the bathroom to play with the water every chance he gets.

Christian trying to blow bubbles with just water.

He thinks that he has to blow bubbles. He won't let me blow them.

What's New In Our Lives?

In December, someone was so generous and gave us enough money to adopt again. We want to publicly thank who ever you are for giving us this money. We feel bad that it has taken us this long to thank the person who gave us this great gift. If you know who this person is, please pass this message of thanks to them. We want to share with everyone who doesn't know that we are into the process of adopting. We have our interviews on Wednesday.

Christian is getting excited and when we ask him what he want out of a brother or a sister. He says, "sisto" ninety-five percent of the time. We will have to see if he is right. He is starting to put his doll in his crib to sleep with at nights.

Christian has started to talk a lot more. He has started to talk to his stuff animals. He says" lap bear" and puts the bear on his lap and reads him a story.

In this movie clip he is saying " Here he Is Lamby". Meaning here's the Lamby.

Christian has started to do patty cake on his owe and also saying three little monkey's jumping on the bed.

Way Too Cute At Everything He Does!

I tried to convince Chris to keep Christian's hair long until April. I told Chris that he could then keep it as short as he wanted during the summer and into the fall until it hit winter. You can tell how well he took to my advice.

How do I look?

How Christian starts to peel an orange! He learned this all on his own.

Lets think about this!

Babies drink from bottles, Children drink from cups, and Christian drinks from......

Lest you think we are bad parents with no manners, we wish to advise you in advance that we didn't teach our son this behavior. Viewer discretion is advised.

Christian is age 2 going on 15. If he is drinking from the container now, what can we expect in the future?

Basketball Is What Is On His Mind!

Christian just totally loves his hoop. Every day he can't wait for his Dad to come home. When he hears a noise that sounds like the garage door, he says " Dad home hoops". Chris raised the basketball hoop and Christian can still make it. When he is in a bad mood, he has a hard time shooting the ball in the hoop. When this happens he says, "big". Meaning the hoop is too tall. He is so cute!

Christian has been trying really hard to dribble. It won't be too long before he can.

2 Year Old Pictures

Yesterday, I took Christian to get his 2 year old pictures done. I was worried at first because Christian wouldn't even stay in the room. I felt bad for the photographer because he tried to make Christian smile but for the most part he failed. We got a few pictures of him smiling. These pictures describe Christian's personality: serious but happy. We just love this kid!
