Crafty Christian

Here are some craft and art projects Heather and Christian have been working on. Christian really enjoys them. It is a nice fun activity that is good preparation for Christian for school. Doing crafts almost ever day has been one of Christian's favorite things to do during the day.

We went Lowe's Build and Grow workshop on Saturday. We put together the little caboose shown below. Christian was tired of hammering by the time we were done. Maybe we should do this type of thing more often.

I love the crazy pipe cleaner hair.

Sparkly Stockings!!!

It is a 10 point!!!

Christian and Heather went with some friends to the Portland Zoo a few weeks back. Here are some cool photos of the fun time they had there.

Who ever knew brushing down goats was so much fun? This was Christian's favorite at the zoo.

Hmmm. People say that there is a resemblance between owners and their pets. Good thing we don't have to worry about Christian having a sun bear as a pet!

Christian fixated on the exciting activity of a hippopotamus.

Christian's new basketball trick. I lowered his basketball hoop to the lowest setting. He was able to dunk it the next highest setting too.

Canadian Thanksgiving and Halloween decorations

Chris and I decided that we would still have Canadian Thanksgiving even though all our family is far away now. We invited a couple to come and join us so that we wouldn't have it all by ourselves. We enjoyed our first Canadian Thanksgiving way from family but missed not having them here.

Our Little Slugger!

I'm doing this blog post for two reasons: One because I love to post cute things Christian is doing. The second because Christian's cousin loves to watch videos of Christian. We miss you Juliet!

Christian is now almost four and has been big in Baseball lately. He will come up to me and say lets play baseball. How can you say no to this cute little boy! I think he is going to be great at what ever sport, he decides to play.

Chris is throwing the ball to him in this video.

I wanted to see if Christian could hit all on his own. I was right he sure could. I sure love our little Slugger.

Labor Day Weekend

In the children's Museum in Portland Oregon, the first Friday of every month from 4-8 is FREE! It made for a fun family outing.

Playing in the water - one of Christian's favorite things to do!

Christian learning to be a builder!

Christian's favorite time was spent digging in the dirt (recycle rubber).

The next day we decided to take our last trip to the beach for the summer. I was hoping the water would be a little warm but no, still really cold. We had fun making sand castle and walking on the beach.

Our Sand castle that we all made together. Christian thought our castle need more water to make it better.

Beautiful scenery

We sure had a fun time visiting the Beach.

Building, Building, and Building

Christian and I made a tower while Chris was working from home.

Then I had idea for Christian to throw the ball and knock it down.

Christian decided to build with his blocks. A few minutes later, I hear him say, "Look at my beautiful Temple." I was really surprise when I saw his Temple.

Random Pictures and Discovery Gateway Museum

We went in Christian's bedroom to take him to the bathroom. We found him sleeping standing up. I know I could never do that. Christian's got talent.

Next, Christian makes a Picasso monkey. I'm believing more and more that he is very creative.

Welcome to Discovery Gateway Museum! Thanks Shirley and Jayden for making it so much fun.

One of Christian's favorite activities.

This one was Christian's all time favorite. It was hard to get him to move on.

Our little grocery worker!

This cute little boy came up and gave my mother in law a fake sandwich.

Then he need to give us some groceries. I couldn't hold them all

so Chris had to take over!

Our Little Bob the Builder! Can he do it? Yes, he can!

Jayden's tower

They had these cool magnets that you could make awesome things out of them. We all had fun with them.
Still a kid at heart! I had to get in the drama!

Newport, Oregon

Last Saturday (June 11), We went to Newport, Oregon to meet up with my brother and his family. It was so fun to see family again. We met them at the Aquarium and spent about 3 hours with them touring the aquarium. Nathan's kids were very good and waited with their parents. Christian on the other hand, had no time to wait. He wanted to see everything on the express tour.

This is the place that Christian enjoyed the very best. He loved feeling the starfish and the anemones. (Sorry for the glare)

Astoria Oregon

We decided that we need to get out of the apartment and view the sites around us. Chris has wanted to visit Astoria for years.

Astoria Bridge - It is the longest truss bridge in North America. It is 4 miles across the Columbia
river.

This was the first stop that we made in Astoria. We knew that Christian would love to ride on the Trolley. He even got to ring the train's bell.

Waiting for the train (trolley) to come.

Astoria Column
• Patterned after Trajan's Column, Rome, Italy
• Height: 125 feet
• Number of steps: 164
The Astoria Column commemorates the westward sweep of discovery and migration.

Christian pretty much ran up the stairs. Once we were at the top of the column, he didn't want to see the scenery. Christian just wanted to run down the stairs.

The next trip was Fort Steven's. We didn't get to see all the sites because we were having too much fun playing at the beach.

Here is my cute wild man in action

Our love signs. Chris wrote his love to me first and then I wrote Chris and Christian next. I sure love them both.
