Finalization here we come...

Today we got news of when Christian will be finalize. The great day is August 25 @ 9:00 a.m. I wish it was tomorrow but I guess I will have to wait the two and half weeks. I am also excited about having Christian sealed to us and also blessed. We haven't set up those two things yet but hope it will be soon.

Christian has brought alot of joy to our family. He now walks in his walker like a pro. When he has to back up, he backs up like he is driving a car. I think it is so funny. Chris and I already can tell that he is going to be full of trouble. His favorite thing to do now is to walk over and pull on our sliding blinds. I fear one day he will rip one off before I can stop him. I know we are in for more trouble. He is starting to be in that scary phase where he tries to pick things off the floor and eat it. I thought it would take him longer to do this but he has prove me wrong.

A Fun Weekend

Chris's Family came up to visit it this weekend because Chris's dad is doing his final National Guard duty. He is retiring from National Guard on August 10. We are so proud of all he has done for our Country. Our great adventure started on Thursday. Thursday night most the family went hiking up Mount Timpanogos. I stayed at Kari's house with Shirley, Tami, and Rahel. We had fun just talking.


We went to Snowbird resort. I will show the adventure at Snowbird. There was a climbing wall, a trampoline bungy, alpine slide, zip line, and the tram that took you to the top of the mountain. I want to go again when I don't have Christian so I can play. I took care of Christian and talked to Tami and Shirley.

Chris, Shirley, Gene, Tami, Christian, and I went to Joe's Crab shack. This is my favorite Restaurant. It was Christian's first time going. The waitress thought he was so cute that they took his picture. He is so famous, he is on Joe's Crab shack website. Here is the picture:

The waitress was so nice they gave Christian some Crackers and apple sauce. I thought he looked so cute in that crab bib. After Joe's Crab Shack, we went shopping. We went to Ross, Old Navy, and IKEA. It was fun to go to IKEA because that was the first time we have gone to that store. Tami came with us and showed us all around. You can get lost in that store. We went back to Kari's and ate and played games.

On Sunday, we went to Kari's house after Church. We had fun taking it easy after a full exciting weekend. We talked, ate, and played games. We played blockus, chess, and quiddler. My favorite game was quiddler.

It has been a hard adjustment to get back to our schedule of work and house work today. Christian is happy to be able to get more sleep. He did really well for the lack of sleep and also cutting teeth. I loved this weekend because I got to spend more time with Chris. I just love him so much. He is such a great husband and father. I feel so bless to have him in my life.

Crawling Christian

We didn't think Christian would crawl before he walked. He did not show many progressive signs that he was getting close to crawling. We had the fear that he would walk before he crawled. Christian learned how to scoot. He gets up on his toes and then falls down. Here is a cute video to show how he moves:

I really enjoy his new found mobility because he will play on the floor for a few minutes before he starts to cry. He use to start to cry as soon as I put him down.

Christian has had a big week. In addition to his new mode of transportation, he started cutting teeth. I would take a picture of this but it is so hard to capture his smile on camera. He has a cute smile but he doesn't smile very much. I can't wait until they come in all the way for several reasons. First because I know it hurts him. Second, because I think it will look so cute with his bottom teeth.

I'm going to the Zoo!!

On the 11th of July, My mom, sisters, sister in law, niece, nephews, Christian and I went to Hogle Zoo. It was Christian first time at the zoo. Christian didn't seem too interested but was really happy. Of all the animals, I think he was the most interested in the baby Orangutan. That was my favorite animal to see at the zoo. The only thing Christian didn't like at the zoo, was the Train. I don't know if it was the loud sound of the train or if Christian was getting tired. I will now show our adventure of Hogle Zoo.

Food Experiences

I'm learning to drink from a cup. My mom and dad keep telling me I have the wrong end but it sure feels good to me.

My mom wishes that I could keep drinking from a bottle because she doesn't like how messy I get. I love to try to feed myself.

I got to play with the spoon while Mom got a wash rag to clean me up. I love my new high chair. Thanks Uncle Jon, Veronica, and family.

Its gotta be the shoes

We spent the 4th of July with Heather's family in Farmington. This was a lot of fun. Heather's Dad, Max took me fishing on the Weber River near Coalville, UT. Max ended up catching three whitefish, at least two of which were of considerable size. My only fish was a very small brown, maybe 10-11 inches. I was glad that I didn't get completely stumped. I did however forget to reapply sunscreen on my arms and got toasted a bit. We came home from fishing and I ended up taking a nap while Max worked in the yard. He is so good to keep things up our their place.

In the evening we played HORSE. I was first out in the first game, but then managed to do a little better in the next game. We also enjoyed playing Chicken Foot with dominoes. We also found that Christian loves to walk in his walker outside. We put him down in socks and figured he would be okay. He loved running around so much he wore holes in his socks(pictured below). We also caught this action on video, and while the lighting is less than optimum, our footage indicates well Christian on the go. After Christian wore through his socks and skinned up his toes, Julie had a good idea: use duct tape and make shoes! Thus the mobility continued, and so did our little boy's fun. The next day we went and bought real shoes so Christian could continue with his walking pursuits. Getting Ready For The Fourth of July

This is going to be Christian's first 4th of July. I wonder how he is going like the fireworks. I have feeling he won't like them since he hates loud sounds. Here are some of Christian's feelings about the upcoming holiday:
