First Day of Kindergarten

Like it or not, my little boy is now in Kindergarten.   It was a little rocky morning but overall I think he had a great first day at school. Christian has had a little bit of a hard time adjusting to going to school.  He had to change classes after the second day of school.   Here in the Evergreen school district they have all day Kindergarten.  I think Christian would like school a little more if it wasn't all day long.

Chris's family reunion

At the end of July we went to spend some time with Chris's side of the family.  It has been several years that we have all been together.  We had a great time hiking, cliff jumping, slip and slid, and playing games with one another.

One of the days, we went fishing with Chris's dad.  Here is a picture of Christian catching his first fish.

We went on a short hike to Cascade Falls

Kanarraville Falls

Gene was a great sport and came on a hike with us.

Christian really enjoyed hiking with Ruben.

This is my favorite picture of them.

I decided that this my favorite hike of all times!

Reunion Time

At the end of June, we went on our annual Reunion with my family.  This year we went to good old Star Valley, Wyoming.  We stayed in some nice cabins.  My parents met some people on the plane to Jerusalem who offered to let us stay there. We had a great time and are thankful for the generosity of the owners of the cabins.

My nieces and nephews had a great old time paddling canoes.
The men went fishing at this beautiful lake but the fishes were not hungry.

Two of my cute nieces hiking around the lake.

Photo with my sister in laws!  They're the best!  I am so luck to have such great sister-in-laws on both side of the family.

All of my nieces and nephews.

The best part of having the reunion was being able to be with my Grandma.  Even though I didn't get to talk to her much because she was either sleeping or reading, it was just great to have her there.  This was the last trip I got to spend my Grandma a live.   I love her and miss her.

February - May

February

Chris had his 32nd birthday.  Christian want to make Chris something for his birthday.  His present was a lovely necklace.

Valentine's day:  I surprised Christian by Heart attacking his bedroom.
This is Christian's reaction to his surprise.  He told me that I was the best mom ever.   I think he is the best boy ever!!!!

March

Christian made his own rubber pants.

My parents came to visit us at the end of March.   While Chris was at work, we went to the tulip festival in Woodburn, Oregan. It was the first day that it was open.  I hope to go next year but go a little later like in the middle of April.  Here are our fun adventures at the tulip festival.

Christian has so much fun with my dad

The last day that my parents were here we went on a hike to Drift Creek Falls.  It was really pretty and green. It was awesome to see the water come out of the mountain.

We went to Lincoln City and had lunch with my parents.  We were so sad that they couldn't stay to go to the beach with us.  It was really cold and overcast at the beach.  I would love to go again when the sun is shining.

April

Chris and I went on a date to Moulton and Lucia Falls on the Lewis River.

A cool little waterfall along the way.

May

Christian posing for the camera at Lacamas Lake.

My Aunt Jean and Uncle Doug made this blanket for Christian.  I think it is so awesome that my uncle quilts with my aunt.  They both are really good quilters.
