We've gone through a blog drought and thought it was time for our experiences to precipitate once again. Although there's no rain in the forecast today. Sunday is living up to its name. Christian is getting really big. There's not as much room on the changing table for him. I was blessed to witness Christian roll over for the first time this week, Thursday April 10 to be exact. Heather was at a primary meeting, so I received the babysitting assignment. I heard Christian in the other room fussing a bit so I went to check on him. I noticed he wasn't in his original position. I thought "He's figured something out". If I remember correctly, I repositioned him a little, because he "traveled" up against the railing of his crib. Leaving the room, I noticed Christian staring up at me as if to say "Dad don't leave me". So I stayed another moment. And that is when it happened. Christian flailed his feet a bit and then found traction assuming a stinkbug pose. His rear over took his head in an almost shoulder roll fashion. As a father, I was impressed with his technique and entertained by his new trick. I intervened to ensure he didn't get his feet unsafely entangled in the crib railing, repositioning him once again. A moment or two after moving Christian, I received an encore performance. Now I knew it was not a fluke. Luckily for us, Christian doesn't roll over repeatedly yet, so we haven't dropped the crib mattress or childproofed the cabinets....yet. Enough of my blabbering, here are some of our latest pics:

Easter
We went to Chris parent's house for Easter. We had a lot of fun and didn't want to come home. Here are some way cute pictures of my two handsome men. I got this cute church outfit for Christian at BABY R US. The shirt fits him pretty good but the pants are way too big.

Christian likes to hold on to Chris's arm like he is holding on for dear life. We both think it is so cute when he does this.

I love this picture of Christian. I wanted to get a picture of just him but that wasn't in Christian's plan.

For your Birthday Dear, I shall pass the test........
Today Heather, Christian and I went with my parents to St. George so I could take the dreaded Novell(050-686) test that I have been struggling with for sometime now. We arrived at the campus of Dixie State College and I went to find the testing center. I found it but they didn't even unlock the building until just before 2:00 pm and my test was scheduled for that time exactly. I worried that for some reason I wouldn't be able to take the test, that the testing center wouldn't be open because it is Easter weekend. I had the lovely experience of waiting in line behind a bunch of college students. So I started the test later than expected but actually ended up finishing a little early. I finally passed the test!!! Heather said this was her best birthday present, second to Christian of course. I am glad I passed so then I wouldn't have to be in a grumpy mood the rest of our time down here.

After the test, we ate Pizza with Rob and Lori and their family at one of St. George's parks. After eating and visiting for awhile, We walked around the Temple there. It was such a beautiful day, in more ways than one. On our way back to Parowan, we stopped to visit my Grandma in Cedar City. Below are the pictures of our "post test passing" adventures.

Fun Times with Christian
I went with Kari to Baby R US. I decided that is a dangerous place for me to shop. I saw many outfits that I wanted to buy Christian. Christian had cousin born on March 13, 2008. We are excited to have two new boy babies. I was so excited that I bought this outfit for Luke and Christian. I think Christian looks so cute in it but of course I think everything looks so cute.
Here is a video of Christian playing ride the horse to Boston. Christian seems to like it.

Welcome to Baby Land
My sister came over today to help me decorate Christian's room. Melanie might not have nunchuck skills, computer hacking skills, or bow hunting skills but she can decorate like no other. I am going to show off her work.

Christian's dresser with the diaper cake Lori made and the picture Suzette gave us. Melanie drew out room plans of how we could rearrange Christian's room. We decide this was the best way.

Christian's Monkey Crib and wall decoration. Melanie made all the decorations by hand. True inspiration. We all ask how she does it.
